The Unit is responsible for harnessing transaction institutional knowledge of the Bureau, managing inherent risks in transactions, sourcing grants from multilateral and donor agencies and developing corporate strategies for transforming the Bureau’s processes.

The Unit is made up of three (3) Sub-Units, namely:

  1. Policy, Research & Knowledge Management
  2. Grants & Multilateral Relations
  3. Risk Management & Transformation

The Unit performs the following key functions:

  • Develop and review strategic options to addressing challenges of industry/economic sectors.
  • Conduct risk assessment and develop risk management policies, procedures, compliance, training and implement risk management strategies and processes.
  • Work closely with the DG, HODs and HOUs on multilateral relations, interface with Donor Agencies and facilitate transparent allocation of grants and other resources within the Bureau.
  • Conduct research and economic analysis activities focused on transactions, privatisation and financial economics.
  • Develop robust corporate transformation strategies and activities to meet organisational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct research in collaboration with HODs, HOUs and other internal teams.
  • Proactively provide back-end services on transaction history to forestall transaction errors and re-occurrence or loss of transaction reports.
  • Create, manage, and update relevant transaction database for references.
  • Manage the Enterprise Business Review Forum for tracking progress of transactions.
  • Identify transaction risks and recommend appropriate strategies to mitigate, manage or reduce the impact of such risks.
  • Collaborate with critical Committees to proffer solutions to teething corporate problems.
