The Stakeholder & External Relations Unit renders support services to the Bureau with respect to its interactions and communication with relevant stakeholders and the general public. The Unit also coordinates the Bureau’s internal and external events.

The Unit is made up of three (3) Sub-Units:

  1. Stakeholder Engagement & Protocol
  2. Events
  3. Strategic Communications

The Unit performs the following functions:

  • Interface with the Bureau’s relevant Stakeholders i.e. NASS, MDAs, Diplomatic Community, Host communities etc.
  • Provide direction for corporate image building with a strong mapping of different stakeholders, their influence, communication needs and channels of effective engagement.
  • Oversees media engagement with the view to influence positive public perception of the Bureau’s activities.
  • Coordinate and manage media practitioners who cover the Bureau’s activities as well as maintain the Bureau’s social media handles.
  • Provide/facilitate protocol assistance to the Bureau and relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate, facilitate and organise internal and external events for the Bureau.
