Amaechi Christian Aloke is a seasoned finance professional and public sector reform expert with over 30 years of impactful service spanning both private and public sectors. He holds a B.Sc. in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an M.Sc. in Economics from Enugu State University of Technology. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and an APMG Certified Public-Private Partnership Professional (CP3P).
Amaechi Christian Aloke currently serves as Director of the Energy Sector Department at the Bureau, where he plays a key role in driving the implementation of the Nigerian Electricity Sector Reform (NESR) programme. He has overseen the privatisation of generation and distribution companies and the concession of key gas-fired power plants.
He previously led the Infrastructure & PPP Department, Refineries Unit, and Power Unit. He facilitated strategic reforms, including the Distribution Sector Recovery Program (DSRP), in partnership with the World Bank, and played a central role in developing and executing major public-private partnership (PPP) initiatives in Nigeria’s infrastructure sector, such as airports and roads..
Before joining BPE, Amaechi gained hands-on experience in finance and accounting in the private sector with organisations such as Thomas Kingsley Securities, Simoch Computers, and Transworld Security Limited
Amaechi Christian Aloke enjoys soccer, travel, music, and current affairs outside of work. He is recognised for his integrity, collaborative approach, and dedication to mentoring young professionals, as well as his contributions to Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
