SUTURA AISHA BELLO

Sutura Aisha Bello is the Director of the Infrastructure and Public Private Partnership Department in the Bureau of Public Enterprises.

She holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Maiduguri, and a Masters in Computer Information Systems (MS CIS) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Southern New Hampshire University, USA. She is an experienced and accomplished professional who has spent the last 30 years working with Government and international development institutions like: the World Bank, UK Nigeria Advisory Facility (UKNIAF), the Debt Management office, ICRC and the Federal Ministry of Finance.

She spent the early part of her career working for the OPEC Fund for International Development (Vienna) where she helped deliver infrastructure projects in Turkmenistan, Gambia, Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana, Eritrea and Zambia.

Ms. Bello’s experience in Infrastructure and Public Private Partnerships spans across various sectors. She was the Project Coordinator for the World Bank assisted Nigeria US$315 million-dollar PPP Project. The Director has a good grasp of the issues in the infrastructure space and is passionate about bridging the country’s huge infrastructure gap, by creating an enabling environment for private sector to play a bigger role in the provision of critical infrastructure.
