BACKGROUND INFORMATION
NAFCON Plant was established in 1981 at Onne, Port Harcourt, Rivers State in the southern part of Nigeria and started production on July 15, 1987. NAFCON was the first and largest modern nitrogenous fertilizer complex (then), not only in Nigeria, but also in West Africa. The National Council on Privatisation approved the divestitures of the government interest in NAFCON using a liquidation method to sale the assets to O-Secul Nigeria Limited now NOTORE Chemicals Ltd.
