BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Associated Maritime Services Limited (AMS) was incorporated on the 15th June, 1995 and commenced operations on the 9th November, 1996. It was licensed by the Nigerian Port Authority (as a Stevedoring, Shipping and Agency company) and the Federal Ministry of Labour and productivity (as Labour employer). The terminal was concessioned on the 28th of August, 2006 for a period of Ten (10) years. The Terminal was officially handed over to AMS Limited on 11th June, 2007 by the Nigerian Ports Authority on behalf of FG/BPE as a preferred bidder. Actual operations of the Terminal started on the 26th June, 2007.
